Passivhaus design granted planning approval

Full planning approval has been granted for our replacement dwelling in North Devon, designed to meet Passivhaus standards.

Located on the outskirts of the town of Woolacombe in North Devon, the proposed 2 storey, 3 bedroom house has been designed in collaboration with Warm Associates and P6P Eco Construction to achieve full Passivhaus accreditation.

Careful attention has been paid to ensure the correct balance of glazing to take advantage of the far reaching views to the coast, and overhangs to control solar gain in the summer months. The timber frame will be highly insulated and careful detailing will ensure an airtight construction to minimise heat loss. The building will be clad in a light coloured brick to the lower floor, and dark stained timber to the upper floor.
