location: Truro, Cornwall
This young family moved to Truro in 2013, looking for a project to convert an existing drafty and leaky Victorian town house into a comfortable and warm home fit for 21st century living.
The brief included upgrading all of the existing single glazed timber sash windows, dry-lining and insulating internally (due to conservation area limitations), and upgrading the heating system to incorporate solar thermal panels.
Furthermore, the rear of the property has been remodelled to improve the kitchen / dining experience and to create a west facing courtyard for those essential evening G&Ts.
The work was completed in 2016
