Mowhay Barn

Client: Jeremy and Naomi Garbett

Value: Undisclosed

Location: St Ervan, Cornwall

The Project at Mowhay barn, St Ervan is for the extension of a traditional converted Cornish barn into a four bedroom family home. We worked closely with the client in preparing preliminary designs and secure a planning approval in this stunningly beautiful area of North Cornwall. The extension preserves the character of the existing barn, locating it in a discrete and private part of the site. Inspiration has been drawn from the surrounding local materials, with a pared back aesthetic. The design has a strong environmental focus, employing traditional materials, local skills, knowledge and labour in its construction.

The team offered and delivered a highly professional service which naturally embraced both our sustainable and aesthetic approach to the project. Their manner was both insightful and personable with a meticulous approach to the use of light & space, natural materials and the existing architectural legacy .It was a great job by Adam Collier in particular and I would highly recommend the design agency.”
