Millstream Cottage

Client: Neil and Becky Rose

Value: Undisclosed

Location: St Wenn, Cornwall

Millstream Cottage is an old watermill located near to the village of St Wenn on the edge of Bodmin Moor in Cornwall. Over the years the barn has been extended and then converted into a dwelling in the 1990s. We were appointed to help restore the barn to its former glory, while also extending the accommodation to include further living spaces, including a double height dining space, and a master bedroom. At the same time a self contained one-bedroom annexe was designed to house visiting family members. The annexe uses a combination of stone, slate and timber cladding in a highly energy efficient yet low-key single storey building.

"Our project has been handled with true professionalism from concept to completion.. Our plans were contemporary yet sympathetic with Adam & Nick gauging the planning department's attitude perfectly to a smooth conclusion."
